About Us

We are a long-established large animal veterinary practice dedicated to offering the highest standard of lifelong care to our clients’ animals. Our experienced team of friendly vets provide an extensive range of routine and advanced services covering the West Midlands, Worcestershire and parts of Leicestershire and Staffordshire.

We invest in state of the art mobile diagnostic and treatment equipment so that our services can be delivered with minimum stress for the animal and maximum convenience for the client.

Whilst specialising in horses and farm animals, we also care for donkeys, alpacas, llamas, micro pigs, pygmy goats, deer, reindeer and the occasional ostrich.

Practice History

Our roots go all the way back to 1932 when the practice was established in Knowle and dealt with domestic pets, a large variety of farm animals and both work and pleasure horses. In the 1950’s the successful practice moved to 608 Warwick Road in Solihull giving us much larger premises and explaining the name!

The practice continued to grow in all areas of activity such that in 2011 the large animal partners, Steve Borsberry and Mat Fernandez, decided that the needs of the equine and farm clients would be best served by breaking away from the small animal practice.

On 1st October 2011, 608 Equine and Farm Veterinary Surgeons opened the doors of the new premises in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside at Quarry Farm, Rowington. Since that time the practice has succeeded in growing and developing with investment in further specialised equipment, additions to the vet team and thanks to our loyal clients.
